1:15 PM. Finally. Lunch Break. It had been a long, tedious and boring day, everyone seemed to be behaving so there was no need to call for Ivan's help. Or really, any one in the department's help. He couldn't help but think it's a bit peculiar that there also just happens to be a lot of....shady looking people around. What if they're all planning something? Ivan thought it was probably something everyone should look more into....
....But now, it's lunch break, so he decided to take his mind off the matter and focus on more 'important things.'
Like inviting your co-worker to lunch with you.
Ivan walked over to Alfred's working area as quietly he could and smiled in a friendly manner (at least, he thought it was friendly) at the American.
"Privyet, Alfred. How are you today?

It had been a long and slow day for Alfred Jones. There was barely any activity that happened at all today. There were no robberies, murders, or even children needing help to rescue their cats from trees. This routine went on for at least a few days that you'd start to think that something fishy was going on, but not for Alfred. He remained oblivious to the inactivity going around and remained working in his office space. Most of the time he'd just eat donuts along with coffee, or just going on the computer to watch cat videos on Youtube. It was almost his time for a break, so he'd figure that he'll just go to McDonalds again for lunch. He was about to exit out the window of a Youtube video until he heard a fellow colleague speak to him from behind.

He turned around quickly, only finding Ivan smiling down at him. You'd think that he also noticed how creepy his smile is, but Alfred didn't really see it that way. "Uh, hey dude. I'm ok, just watching some videos y'know? How're you doing?"

Ivan just happened to walk behind Alfred RIGHT as he closed down the window on his computer, which made him wonder what kind of videos he had been watching....
"I'm doing vyell, , Spasiba~. I came over hyere vondyering if you vould like to go out for lunch vith me~"

Actually, the idea of having lunch with Ivan doesn't sound bad at all. It's true though that Alfred gets a little suspicious around him, but sometimes he couldn't think of a reason why. Well, it doesn't matter right now. All he could think about is food, food, food, and that's what he wants to eat right now.

"Sure, dude! In fact, I'm feeling pretty generous today... So where would you like to eat? Maybe out for a pizza or I don't know.. McDonalds?"

Ivan's smile enlarged a little and he replied, "Sure, spasiba~" and started slowly for the door, waiting for the American to get up.

As Ivan started heading towards the door, Alfred quickly clicked the 'shut down' button on his desktop. He then grabbed his wallet and started walking next to the Russian. He was silent the whole time they were walking to McDonalds and he didn't try to strike up a conversation only because he was wondering what he's going to eat today. Perhaps he could get the Double Cheese Burger, or even the Big Mac! Maybe 5 of them sounds about good. He was on a diet anyways. Now once that's over his mind, he started noticing the awkward silence between them. He started to think up of something to break the ice but only to get distracted by a man with poor posture wandering in the middle of the road.

"Yo dude, what's wrong with that guy?"

As they were walking in silence, Ivan observed with curiosity some of the people around him. There seems to be a lot of people with injuries, he thought. And even more with extremely pale skin. It takes him a lot to say that too, after living in the long winters of Russia and never getting a tan, so that's saying something. However, the strangest part was basically 6 of every 10 people were limping, and walking extremely slow. Did a large accident happen without the Police Department being informed...? No...that's impossible. It's probably just a large cult of teenagers, which would make sense. Some are even stalking some people, probably to freak them out for whatever stupid teenager reason. Although, some look pretty old...and some even elderly...
....
Finally after the long silence, Alfred had spoken up, commenting on one of those people...Hm.
"Ah. He syeems pryetty pale, too. Maybe somezing is vrong?" He looked back at the American with a puzzled expression, waiting for a response.

The said American beamed, suddenly showing a 1000 watt smile at Ivan, "Hey, it's been a while since we got to help anyone out! Maybe there is something wrong, let's go check him out!'

Alfred, who has been anticipating for being a hero the past few days, walked quickly ahead of Ivan and towards the man. Once he stood behind him he asked, "Is there something wrong, sir? You don't look too good. My colleague and I are pretty worried about your condition."

The man turned in a rather freaky, inhuman way and stared Alfred in the eyes. His eyes were blood shot and his skin seemed to have a really odd texture....Ivan looked a little closer at the man and noticed his skin had an extremely faint green tint...This was defiantly bad.
The man gaped at Alfred, his mouth opening and closing like a fish. After a while he let out a strangled noise that sounded like "Zrrahghhhghgaaaaaaaargg," opening his mouth so we could see his lovely.....completely rotten mouth with a strange green body liquid pooling in the back of his throat.

There was an intense stare down between the police officer and the crippled looking man. Alfred didn't take his eyes away from the person in front of him. Within his sky blue eyes you could see a look of slight astonishment, as well as fear. He paid close attention to the odd color and texture of the skin, the inhuman movements, his foul rotten teeth, and the noise he made as if he were gagging from that pool of liquid down his throat. What caught Alfred's attention the most was how red his eyes were, like the color of blood. As if here were no longer human. He was too amazed to move, too terrified to back out that he was forced to stay where he was.

Ivan tugged slightly on his co-workers sleeves. "Hey...I think we should step back, da?"
Streams of the strange body fluid started to drip out of the crippled man's mouth and down his chin, ultimately making a small pool on the floor. A rather irate expression then formed on his face, and he let out a another strangled noise, but this time sounding angrier....and hungry.

While still taken aback, Alfred managed to mutter out, "Y-yeah."
They took a couple of steps back, but the man slowly followed their movements. Each time they back out, he follows along with them.

Alfred started panicking, "Dude, do you think he's still human?"

Ivan's hand hovered over his gun holster, ready to shoot any second. "I really, really doubt it." This feeling of fright was new to the Russian, and made him feel almost curious about it.
"Vat do you think ve should do?"

Before Alfred could answer back, the man started to run after the two with incredible speed with his mouth agape, letting green liquid spilling all over the place.

"DEAR GOD, RUN!" yelled Alfred, as he started to take off the other direction. This notion confused him a bit, and while running for his dear life it made him wonder why he chose it, but all he could think of was that the crippled being reminded him of a zombie. An actual zombie, like in the video games he occasionally plays, and before going to bed he ends up being terrified of them.
